Digital Learning Developer

This role has been created to increase our virtual offerings and thus for PDT to become a leading edge training provider as well as increase the turnover away from face to face and WebEx training.  You will investigate, develop and manage new initiatives and assist and help in other areas of the business including marketing and project management.

This position requires a good technical knowledge of what is available in the market and what PDT’s clients need. An ability to understand large organisations global needs will be paramount

This role will develop over time dependent upon the strategy of the company and the vision and direction the Board decide upon. However, the core areas for the initial 12 months will be:

Product Development:

To work with both the Lead Project Manager and the Lead Trainer as well as the Board in advising and then developing tools which will complement our face to face and WebEx programs (embedding and toolkits) as well as develop a suite of digital learning packages which will increase client revenue.  These may include, but will not be limited to and dependent upon market need and budget available:

  • Whiteboard animation
  • Digital toolkits
  • Embedding products
  • E-learning
  • App development
  • Continuation of our current videos
  • Podcasts
  • Adaptive virtual simulation
  • Digital psychometric/behavioural profiling.


Look at and work with Marketing and Lead Project Manager and the Lead Trainer to improve our presentations for both WebEx and face-to-face delivery (PowerPoint).  You will then:

  • Train individuals and groups on how to reconstruct these
  • Advise and help the account managers in presentations to clients.


Investigate and advise on an LMS system for the company which will enable us to:

  • Offer additional products to clients
  • Be used to give clients trials to our products
  • Be used as part of a development tool

In addition you will become the champion and will therefore engage in

  • The set up
  • The general running of the process
  • Teaching others to use it.


Working with Marketing, Project Lead and Account Mangers on all aspects of enhancement to the current look and feel of training resources and branding publications which will include but not be limited to

  • PowerPoint slides/ Prezi / visual methodology (look and feel)
  • Social Media presence (YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc.)
  • Visual aesthetics (website layout, branding communications etc.).


If required you will assist and lead in facilitating training on:

  • Webinars
  • Live Stream (Ustream, Periscope etc.).

Other General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Communication skills:
    • Effective communicator in person, on the phone and via email
    • Highly articulate with the capability to support non-tech savvy individuals through complex processes
  • Time Management:
    • Capable to manage own workload and required tasks, when deadline and schedules are often conflicting
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
  • Quick to familiarise self with new technologies and tools, to become subject-matter expert in a relatively short time
  • Work within tight budgets and deadlines.

Other Requirements:

  • Evidence of delivering change that can generate and increase turnover
  • Flexibility to work on own initiative
  • Able to travel to the office and clients as and when needed (you will be required to go into the office at least twice a week)
  • A background or interest in Diversity & Inclusion
  • Attend tech exhibitions and seminars to see what else is available
  • Work with current partners to develop current products.
