International Men’s Day

We are delighted to invite you to a unique and refreshing keynote presentation by PDT’s Chair, Angie Peacock – Man Up or Shut up? Getting Real about Men in the Workplace.

Hosted by Lloyd’s and Beazley as part of their annual celebration of International Men’s Day, Angie will share what she believes is really going on inside our organisations – how we are still holding men to account on one level and other genders to various others. She will explode the myths aroundmacho led cultures and explore what creates both them, and the men that lead them.

This is in no way a ‘man-bashing’ session! Angie wants to see inclusion for all – and that starts with increased understanding of how many diversity initiatives are turning men away from the one agenda that could transform their personal and working lives.

With three out of four suicides being committed by men and indeed the biggest cause of death for men under the age of 45, there can be no better time for us to pull together for a more realistic working culture.

We hope that you will join us as we discover how many of the things we have been taught about genders are simply untrue, how the media brainwashing is making us feel inadequate – and how discovering who you really are could be one of the greatest skills you need for the new face of work in the 21st century.
